Hendry, Ramsay & Waters
(Worldwide) Ltd offer the following top quality hunting programmes in
Spain:
Driven Partridges in
Spain
The shooting of driven
partridges in Spain is an absolute industry and is expanding since the
reliability of the shoot, the topography over which they are conducted,
the professionalism of the organisers coupled with the agreeable climate
sucks in avid shooters from all European countries and USA. Amongst the
many efficient organisers we predominately work with several associates.
Chinchon, La Mancha
At Chinchon our
associates offer shooting over two nearby properties. Less than one hour
from Madrid Airport the area is very hilly and the birds fly outstandingly
well with guns placed at the bottom of deep valleys. One property can
offer four consecutive days without repetition of drives while another
nearby estate can also nearly match this. Minimum bags of 480 birds and
up to 1,000 birds or even more. Six to eight guns is perfect. The season
stars in mid September and continues until the end of February.
La Carrasca, La Mancha
We are
privileged to offer shooting at La Carrasca in La Mancha. Covering 40,000
acres the property is two hours south west of Madrid. The owner has
invested much time, though and money into the upgrading of this high
quality shoot which exceptionally is based solely on wild birds. Each
drive is only conducted twice in a season.
Two to four day
programmes expecting 300 – 1,000 birds per day for 7 – 10 guns.
Accommodation is in the luxury purpose built finca.
Days of 300, 400 and 500
birds are available throughout the season.
‘La Carrasca’ is arguably
one of the keenest priced partridge shoots in Spain with the outstanding
well deserved reputation for professionalism and luxury.
Cenicientos, Toledo
Located in the province
of Toledo some 1 ¼ hours south of Madrid, this excellent property covers
some 14,000 hectares. The area is rough, hilly, uneven and with an
abundance of vineyards showing fast high flying birds. 600 birds per day
is typical on this estate for 6 – 10 guns. Accommodation is provided in
the newly built estate house which has ten double rooms and are all
en-suite.
Finca La Malgosa,
Catalonia
Hendry, Ramsay & Waters
have the exclusive shooting rights on the above estate. The airport of
choice would be Barcelona International Airport and the group would then
travel one and a half hours north west. This hill and most scenic area
produces excellent days of 200 fast flying birds for groups of six to
eight guns. Accommodation is arranged within 30 minutes of the shoot to
whatever standard is required. A typical programme would be arrival in
Barcelona and transfer to your accommodation on the first day. Days two
and three would consist of two days driven partridge shooting for 200
birds per day. The day starts with three drives and is followed by a mid
morning break for a light snack and drinks. Two more drives are taken and
then the day is finished off with lunch and drinks and the days bag being
laid out for inspection and photographs.
Prices start at € 18,500
(Euros) based on a group of eight hunters. Included in the price is two
days driven partridges, accommodation on a dinner, bed and breakfast
basis, all meals and drinks on shoot, airport and shoot transfers and

feeding for up to half an hour before shooting the selected animal. These
evening hunts are ideal to combine with a short holiday as your are free
during the day time. There is much to see from National Parks to ancient
towns. There are three different programmes available.

The Spanish Ibex is
allegedly the worlds only pure Ibex and there are five sub-species to be
found in Spain, namely, Gredos, Beceite, Ronda, Cazorla y Sierra and
Nevada. The most represented species is that of the Gredos which can be
found in the spectacular range of mountains 150 km south east of Madrid in
the province of Avila. The maximum duration of the hunt is three days
however in most cases the hunt will finish on the second day. Please note
