Both Prague and Vienna airports are 1.5 hours distant. Brno airport is 35 mins. Zidlochovice was the famous hunting castle of the Hapsburg family and the way that things were conducted in their days has been carried through to the present. Programmes for 8 to 10 guns and expecting bags varying between 1000 and 3000 per day is priced in sterling at £5655 per gun with an expectation of 300 birds per gun per day the price rises to £7855. Non shooting guests are charged £400 for three nights. A four night, three say shoot expecting 200 birds per gun per day is priced at £8270 while for a programme expecting 300 birds per gun per day the price is £11600. Four nights accommodation for non shooting guests is charged at £525. <br> <br> <b>Hungary Pheasant </b><br> <br> Here we offer programmes whereby an ideal number of 6 guns may expect bags varying from 500 - 1300 birds per day. This takes place in North Eastern Hungary and is little more than one hour from Budapest. This part of Hungary is described as the hill country and accommodation is offered in a choice of small but comfortable castles. A four night three day shoot expecting an average of 200 birds per gun over the three days brings out a cost of £3290 per gun while if this expectation is increased to 300 birds per gun over the three days then the quotation is £4390. We shall be pleased to quote for a programme of longer or shorter duration. <br> <br> <b>Slovakia Pheasant </b><br> <br> These programmes take place in an area to the East of Bratislava and surrounding the town of Nitra which itself is less than two hours drive from Vienna. As a result of this experience I am able to offer a variety of driven pheasant programmes being conducted on estates mainly in Tayside but also in Fife, the Borders and southwest Scotland. These programmes are equally suitable for corporate entertainment or for private enjoyment and are based on teams of 7-8 guns.</p> <p>The programmes can be varied but initially they are principally for two or three days duration, it being believed that a two day shoot, where possible on a Friday and Saturday, is most suitable for those flying from the continent or from London.</p> <p>They are mentioned subject to availability. The programme can be extended to 3 or 4 days by shooting on Mr Hope-Dunbar's Banks Estate on the eastern shore of Kirkcudbright Bay.</p> <p>BANDIRRAN Sir Iain Lowson's Perthshire estate is a beautiful shoot and is impeccably managed by highly experienced head gamekeeper Angus Begg. This estate also has the ability to offer some interesting driven partridges.</p> <p>BRECHIN CASTLE The Earl of Dalhousie's shoot which lies to the west of Brechin and also further north near to the town of Edzell is another property with which I have been associated for nearly 30 years. Accommodation is in the castle itself and programmes exceeding 1,000 birds in 3 days are offered.</p> <p>CARDNEY Leased by Hendry, Ramsay and Wilcox this shoot near Dunkeld in Perthshire is annually improving under the guidance of head keeper Dennis Hubbard.</p> <p>CORTACHY The Earl of Airlie's long established shoot is managed by head keeper Mike Nisbett and is located in the area of Cortachy Castle to the north of Kirriemuir, Angus</p> <p>EDRYDYNATE Arguably the most scenic of all our shoots and always heavily booked, Michael Campbell's property is situated in beautiful Strathtay</p> <p>FEDAL Fedal is effectively an off-shoot of Humphry Spurway's operation at Harburn only 12 miles from Edinburgh Airport. At Fedal in Perthshire his son Mark runs an excellent operation near Dunblane.</p> <p>GANNOCHY Owned by Mr Derald Ruttenburg, Gannochy Estate in Angus which is always heavily booked is probably amongst the half dozen most challenging properties in Scotland. It is controlled by vastly experienced headkeeper Matthew Ramage.</p> <p>GLAMIS CASTLE The Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorn's shoot is managed by outstanding headkeeper Ron Carr who's famous father, the late Jim Carr, was head keeper at Brechin Castle. Luncheon is taken in the old dungeons of the castle or may be taken in the main dining room. Glamis is the former home of Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother and lies in Angus.</p> <p>GLENDYE & FASQUE Charles Gladstone, great-great grandson of the famous Victorian Prime Minister, does a quite outstanding job running the pheasant shooting on these combined estates which are in Kincardineshire.</p> <p>HARBURN Harburn, already mentioned along with Fedal, is owned and run by extremely energetic Humphrey Spurway who also provides accommodation for his shooting guests in Harburn House. This is a most professional operation and is only 12 miles from Edinburgh.</p> <p>KINPURNIE Sir James Cayzer's property is managed by the estate factor Simon Laird and highly experienced headkeeper David Yule. I have known this estate as indeed all the others for many years. It is on the Perthshire/Angus boundary.</p> <p>OTTER Located at Kilfinan on the eastern shore of Loch Fyne, Argyllshire and approximately one and a half hours drive from Glasgow airport this very scenic estate offers interesting shooting over 2 days. A duck flight is included at no additional charge.</p> <p>PEARSIE A few miles north of Kirriemuir the shoot at Pearsie run by estate factor Norman Ogg is conducted on extremely testing and scenic terrain and is always totally reliable.</p> <p>ROSSIE PRIORY The Hon. Caroline Best's south facing property lies in the foot hills of the Sidlaws between Perth and Dundee. It is very well managed by Headkeeper Simon Wilson.</p> <p>ROXBURGHE The Duke of Roxburgh's enormous estate is at Kelso beside the River Tweed in southeast Scotland with one day shooting in the Lammermuir Hills. Both Rawburne and Floors days are particularly challenging. A third day may be requested.</p> <p>SCONE PALACE I have been associated with the letting of shooting on the Earl of Mansfield's estate for over 30 years and with regards to the driven pheasants there are 3 different areas each managed by their own keepering staff. As would be imagined these operations by a leading Perthshire estate are impeccably managed.</p> <p>SOUTH ESK The Earl of Southesk's shoot takes place in the immediate area of Kinnaird Castle and is situated in the county of Angus to the east of Brechin</p> <p>TEASES Sir Frazer Morrison's estate in Fife is another shoot that is superbly well run with total reliability. It is normal to provide days of between 150 and 250 birds.</p> <p>We will recommend accommodation in an establishment that we consider most suitable for the type of programme that we are offering and most convenient from a distance standpoint.</p> <p>AIRDS HOUSE Airds House, a Victorian shooting lodge carefully modernised to retain its original character can accommodate 8 couples in 4 double and 4 twin rooms. There are 5 bathrooms so a degree of sharing is implied.</p> <p>BRECHIN CASTLE The home of the Earl of Dalhousie is the accommodation specified for those undertaking shoots on Brechin Castle Estate.</p> <p>DUNKELD HOUSE Set on the banks of the River Tay, this the flagship of the Stakis Hotel Group, is very convenient to many of our shoots and has its own shooting school layout under the control of Ian Marsden, a former winner at the Commonwealth Games.</p> <p>DUPPLIN CASTLE A private establishment with superb food and wines offered exclusively for groups of maximum 12 visitors.</p> <p>FARLEYER HOUSE Formerly the home of Major Neil Ramsay, Farleyer has been turned into a magnificent country house hotel. Situated 2 miles to the west of Aberfeldy, it is particularly well geographically suited to programmes conducted at Edradynate.</p> <p>FERNIE CASTLE Situated in Letham near Cupar this is the ideal base for shoots conducted in what is still known as the Kingdom of Fife. Partly dating from 1530, proprietor Marshall Stevens has brought this hotel up to an excellent standard and has recently been awarded an AA red rosette for the quality of its food.</p> <p>FLOORS Floors, The Duke of Roxburgh's home, is the largest occupied dwelling in Scotland. It's accommodation can only be described as ducal.</p> <p>GLENEAGLES Scotland's only 5 star luxury resort complex which together with its famous golf courses is only 15 minutes from Perth</p> <p>HARBURN Only 12 miles from Edinburgh Airport, the imposing mansionhouse is set in the midst of Harburn Estate.</p> <p>KILFINAN Owned by Otter estate the hotel has its origins as an old Coaching Inn and has provided food and shelter for travellers for over 100 years. Its vaults date back to an earlier structure built in the 16th century.</p> <p>KINFAUNS A dramatic castellated building 2 miles from Perth. The property has recently been purchased and refurbished by Mr James Smith who has long experience of the hotel industry in the Pacific region.</p> <p>KINLOCH HOUSE Situated 3 miles west of Blairgowrie, this excellent establishment superbly run by the Shentall Family is an ideal base for many of our shooting parties.</p> <p>KINNAIRD This luxury country house hotel lies 15 minutes north of Dunkeld and provides service of quite a remarkable standard.</p> <p>THE ROXBURGHE Formerly know as Sunlaws, the 22 roomed hotel now with its own golf course stands comparison with any of Scotlands leading country house hotels.</p> <p>Accommodation has been shown as being most convenient to the relative programme.
